10 year olds are a tough lot to deal with, it’s the twilight of their young childhood and their adolescence. 5th graders always are kinder at the start of the school year vs how they are at the end of the school year. I will admit that 6th grade in my opinion is the toughest grade to deal with.

When kids and preteens act like the adolescents they in fact are and their prefrontal cortex (corteces?) aren’t fully formed, they have a built in excuse and we are told it’s a phase and rite of passage. What I have a hard time with, are the adults who behave like petulant stubborn children. They are impossible to reason with and that is why I’m not all the way okay either.
